 Gospel Jn 15:9-11



Jesus said to his disciples:

"As the Father loves me, so I also love you.

Remain in my love.

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love,

just as I have kept my Father's commandments

and remain in his love.


"I have told you this so that

my joy might be in you and

your joy might be complete."


Reflections

Jesus in today’s Gospel desire that every human being has his joy living in them.  For this joy to find its place in their heart they need to keep his commandment of loving God and neighbour. He gave them his own example that it is possible to do so if we abide in his love just as he abides in his father’s love. If we have him in our heart we will be joyful and be willing to let others experience that same joy not the one that comes when we are Happy and successful but the inner joy that comes from God.

Activity: 

Look at those moments/instances when you experience tragedy at home or in your community when you surrender to God just pay attention how joyful and serene your heart is despite this unhappy moments.
